Stage 21. This sign caused a great deal of consternation. The Tourmalet was to be the highest point on my Tour. Should I believe the sign and continue with a 15km 10000m climb to La Mongie just in case the Tourmalet is open or do I plan another route. Tried asking a policeman but this didn't work. After 20 minutes prevaracating I decided to go another way.
