A train crash between the engines of the Bay of Quinte Railway (BQR) which owned the tracks which once ran along the small road on the right, and the CPR engine, on June 9 1903. The CPR was carrying a load of artillery canons from Guelph to Deseronto via Peterborough, Tweed on the O&Q, then to Yarker, and Deseronto on the BQR to the army base at what is now their airport.
