The district of Seckbach is located about 5 km from the city centre in the east of Frankfurt at the foot of the Lohrberg, a foothill of the Rheingau wine-growing region. Around 10,000 inhabitants live here on a relatively large area; population density is therefore rather low. Seckbach borders Bornheim in the west, Bergen-Enkheim in the east, Bad Vilbel in the north and the Riederwald in the south. Today, Seckbach is one of the districts that has preserved its historical flair most authentically. The small cider restaurants are characterized by their special originality. The district has the U4 line connected to the Frankfurt U-Bahn network. In the South and West, the U7 line also runs with the stations Gwinnerstraße and Kruppstraße, which are served by both lines. The Ost depot is located on Seckbach.

Five city bus lines run in Seckbach. The new building area on the Atzelberg has been opened up since 1970 by bus line 38 (also leading to the Bornheim panoramic swimming pool). Bus number 43 crosses almost the entire district. Bus lines 44 and F-41 run to Leonhardsgasse and end there. The night bus n5 crosses Seckbach on the route of bus line 43.[17]

For car drivers, the Wilhelmshöher Straße and Borsigallee are particularly important; The latter leads shortly after the village sign Seckbach on to the A 66 motorway. Via the A661 you can also get quickly to the Frankfurt area.
